The Black L.U.V. Festival has been held in Washington, DC since 1997. The Black L.U.V. (love, unity & vision) Festival was established, by artists in the historic U-street community devoted to social change and uplift of the DC creative community. This FREE one-day cultural outdoor event, uses the cultural arts as a vehicle to inform and enlighten communities of the Nation’s Capital on education, social injustice, healthcare (testing attendees for HIV/AIDS) and issues in underserved communities and neighborhoods, domestically and internationally. Social Art and Culture is a presenting partner and sponsor for Black L.U.V. Festival.
