In partnership with Newton Media Group, we offer a Summer Media Arts Training (MAT) Program for DC youth 16 years - 21 years. The training teaches various aspects of media literacy for independent and public radio and television broadcasting including on-air skills, editing content on non-linear editing stations, creating audio, video and graphics effects, writing for broadcast, and company branding via web and social media. Students are exposed to traditional and new-media broadcasting focused on social justice in media making. This program is funded by DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
